LedgerLine Advisory does the finance function for companies that are too big for a bookkeeper and too small for a finance team: monthly management accounts, payroll, treasury, board packs and, when needed, a fractional CFO who will sit in the investor meeting.
Founded in North Point in 2014 by two former industry financial controllers, the firm serves around 180 clients, heavily weighted toward funded startups, professional practices and family businesses going through a transition. The work is advisory rather than compliance — clients keep their auditors, and LedgerLine deliberately does not audit.
The firm is about ninety people and unusual in the profession for its working pattern: no busy season peak, capped client loads per manager, and hybrid working since well before it was fashionable. It attracts a lot of people leaving practice who want the technical work without the audit-season pattern.
