Agency Training Manager

About the role

The Parkview Academy in North Point is where every new agent starts and where every experienced one comes back. It runs licensing preparation, the twelve-week new-agent programme, product certification, CPD and the leadership track for agents stepping up to unit manager.

We are hiring a training manager to own curriculum and delivery for the new-agent programme and the CPD calendar. The context matters: 13-month retention in our agency force sits below where we want it, and the diagnosis is that early training teaches product knowledge well and client conversations poorly. Fixing that is your first project.

You will run a team of three trainers plus a bench of experienced agents who teach part-time, deliver a fair share of sessions yourself, and work closely with Compliance on the licensing and CPD content that has no room for creativity.

What you'll do

• Own the curriculum for the twelve-week new-agent programme, from licensing preparation through to first supervised client meeting
• Deliver classroom and field-based training in Cantonese, with English and Mandarin sessions as the intake requires
• Design and run the CPD calendar so every agent meets their annual hours without a December scramble
• Manage three full-time trainers and coordinate the part-time agent instructor bench
• Measure training against retention and early production, and change the programme when the numbers say to
• Work with Compliance and Product on certification content for new product launches

What we're looking for

• 8+ years in life insurance, including substantial time in agency training, agency management or as a producing unit manager
• Insurance Authority licence as a technical representative (long term), with IIQE Papers 1, 3 and 5
• Proven classroom delivery to adult learners — a room of thirty agents is not a room of thirty students
• Native Cantonese with business English and Mandarin; the intake is genuinely trilingual
• Experience owning a curriculum rather than only delivering someone else's

Nice to have

• Certified Financial Planner or FChFP designation
• Instructional design qualification or e-learning authoring experience
• A personal production record that gives you credibility with the room
