Property Officer

About the role

Our Tai Po residential estate has 1,100 units across six towers, a clubhouse and a small commercial arcade. The management office team is fourteen people, and the property officers are the ones residents actually see.

This is a genuine entry-level opening. You need a licence and a willingness to learn; we will teach you the rest. Day to day you will handle resident enquiries and complaints, inspect common areas, supervise cleaning and security contractors, follow up maintenance works, and prepare papers for the Owners' Committee meetings.

Property management in Hong Kong rewards people who are calm, organised and fair. A senior property officer will mentor you for the first six months, and there is a clear path to Assistant Property Manager for officers who pass their PMP licence progression.

What you'll do

• Handle resident enquiries, complaints and incident reports at the management office counter and by phone
• Conduct daily inspections of common areas, clubhouse and car park; log defects and follow through to completion
• Supervise cleaning, security and landscaping contractors against their service specifications
• Coordinate maintenance and minor works with in-house technicians and external contractors
• Prepare notices, circulars and meeting papers for the Owners' Committee, and take minutes
• Assist with management fee collection follow-up, arrears records and DMC compliance matters
• Take part in the emergency duty roster, including typhoon and black rainstorm standby

What we're looking for

• Higher Diploma or above in Property Management, Housing Studies or a related discipline
• Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) Licence, or eligible to apply on appointment
• 1+ year of customer-facing experience — property management, hospitality or retail all count
• Fluent Cantonese with conversational English and Mandarin for the estate's mixed resident base
• Willing to work a shift roster including weekends and public holidays on a rotating basis

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Building Management Ordinance (Cap. 344) and DMC administration
• Basic first aid or fire safety training
• Prior work with an Owners' Committee or Incorporated Owners
