About the role
Kai Tak Logistics runs contract logistics for consumer brands that import through South China and distribute across Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area. Network Planning is the eight-person team that decides what sits in which warehouse, when a container is called forward from the terminal, and how much buffer stock a customer really needs before Golden Week and Lunar New Year.
We are adding a planner because two accounts have outgrown spreadsheets. One is a household appliance brand with 3,200 SKUs and a nasty seasonality curve; the other is a beauty retailer whose replenishment cycle changed when they went omnichannel. You will inherit both, rebuild their forecast models with our planning team in Dongguan, and present the monthly S&OP review to the customer yourself.
You will report to the Head of Network Planning and work day-to-day with the DC managers in Kwai Chung and Tuen Mun, the transport control centre, and customer supply chain contacts on the mainland. Two days a week from home once you are through probation.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain rolling 13-week demand and replenishment forecasts for four contract logistics accounts
- Chair the monthly S&OP cycle with customers — consensus forecast, capacity commitment, exception log
- Set and review safety stock, reorder points and slow-moving thresholds across the Kwai Chung and Tuen Mun DCs
- Model warehouse space and labour requirements 8-12 weeks ahead so the DC teams can hire and roster in time
- Work with the Customs & Trade Compliance team to sequence container call-forward against free-time expiry at the terminal
- Track forecast accuracy, fill rate and inventory turns; publish a monthly scorecard and own the improvement actions
- Support tender responses with volume modelling and cost-to-serve analysis for new contract logistics bids
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years in demand planning, inventory planning or contract logistics — 3PL experience preferred
- Strong Excel modelling plus hands-on use of a WMS and a planning tool (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder or similar)
- Cantonese and English for customer meetings; Mandarin for the Dongguan planning team and mainland vendors
- Comfortable presenting a forecast you own to a customer's regional supply chain director
Nice to have
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- SQL or Power BI for self-service reporting off the WMS extract
- Exposure to cross-border trucking and GBA distribution networks
What you get
- Hybrid — 2 days from home after probation
- 18 days annual leave, rising by one day per year of service to 22
- Medical, dental and outpatient cover extended to spouse and children
- Free shuttle from Kwai Fong MTR to the Kwai Chung DC
- HK$12,000 a year training wallet — APICS, Power BI, anything you can justify
