Evergreen Assurance wrote its first life policy in 1948 for a Wan Chai shopkeeper and has been paying claims in Hong Kong ever since. It is one of the larger domestic insurers, with life, critical illness, medical and MPF lines, a tied agency force of several thousand and a growing bancassurance channel.
