3.5(1,042 reviews)Nine hotels across Hong Kong and Macau, from business towers to boutique stays.
Harbourview Hotels Group opened its first property in Tsim Sha Tsui in 1979 and now operates nine hotels: four full-service properties in Hong Kong, two in Macau, and three smaller boutique conversions in Sheung Wan and Wan Chai. Between them they employ several thousand people across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering and corporate functions.
The group came through the visitor-numbers collapse of the early 2020s by leaning hard into staycations and local F&B, and the restaurants in two properties now draw more Hong Kong residents than hotel guests. Occupancy has recovered and the group is renovating its flagship, which is the largest capital project in its history.
Hospitality careers here are structured — a management trainee programme with rotations across departments, cross-property transfers, and a genuine route from housekeeping supervisor to operations management. The trade-off is the trade-off of the industry: shifts, weekends and a peak season that does not care about your plans.

Executive Housekeeper
“I started as a room attendant and I now run a department of ninety. The group promoted me every time I asked for more, which is not something every hotel does.”
Marco Bianchi
Restaurant Manager
“The local F&B strategy is working and it is exciting to be part of. Staffing levels on weekends are consistently short and it lands on the floor team.”
Ho-yee Lam
Front Office Supervisor
“Good training and colleagues who look after each other on hard shifts. Base pay is low for the hours and the split shifts are difficult if you live far out.”
