About the role
Jade Medical runs eleven sites: the Tsim Sha Tsui specialist centre, seven general practice clinics, two dental suites and the Kowloon Bay central laboratory. They were acquired or opened at different times and, frankly, they still behave that way — three appointment systems, four different ways of counting a no-show, and utilisation that swings from 62% to 94% depending on which door you walk through.
This role exists to end that. You will hold the operating P&L for the network, set one standard for scheduling, stock, billing and patient flow, and decide where the next two clinics open. It is a director-level remit reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with four Clinic Managers, a central rostering team and the procurement lead as direct reports — around 220 non-clinical staff in total.
Clinical governance sits with our Medical Director, and the two of you are expected to argue productively: you own throughput and cost, she owns standards, and the group's operating committee hears both. If you want a job where operations is a service function that takes orders, this is not it.
What you'll do
- Hold the operating P&L for eleven sites — revenue per session, staff cost ratio, consumables spend and capital requests
- Consolidate three appointment systems onto one platform and define a single network-wide set of utilisation, no-show and wait-time metrics
- Lead and develop four Clinic Managers, running monthly performance reviews against a shared scorecard
- Rebuild the central rostering model so specialist sessions, nursing cover and locum spend are planned a quarter ahead
- Negotiate consumables, laboratory reagent and equipment maintenance contracts with group suppliers
- Partner with the Medical Director on incident reviews, infection-control audits and licensing inspections
- Build the site-selection case for two new clinics, including catchment analysis, lease terms and break-even modelling
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in healthcare operations, with at least 4 leading multi-site clinical or service networks in Hong Kong
- Demonstrable P&L ownership at HK$150M+ annual revenue and a track record of moving a hard operating metric
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, nursing or a related discipline
- Fluent Cantonese and English; Putonghua for our cross-border patient segment
- Working knowledge of the private healthcare licensing regime and clinic-level infection control expectations
Nice to have
- MBA or a postgraduate qualification in health services management
- Experience integrating clinics after an acquisition
- Lean or Six Sigma work in a patient-flow context
What you get
- Discretionary bonus of up to four months, tied to the network scorecard
- Comprehensive medical, dental and specialist cover for you and your family
- 25 days annual leave and a car allowance for inter-site travel
- Executive health screening every year
- Long-service and retention awards after year three
