Graduate Analyst Programme 2027

About the role

The Harbour Point Graduate Analyst Programme takes twelve graduates a year across markets, investments and risk. It runs for eighteen months in three six-month rotations, and you tell us your preferences before each move rather than finding out where you have been assigned.

We are direct about what this is. Rotations are on live desks — systematic trading, structured solutions, multi-asset portfolio management, market risk and investment operations. You will build models people rely on, sit in on client calls, and present at least once to a desk head in every rotation. There is no shadow project designed to keep you busy.

Support is structured: a desk buddy from the previous cohort, a senior mentor outside your rotation, and a formal review every eight weeks where you hear where you actually stand. Around 80% of each cohort receives a placement offer at the end, and we publish that number internally each year.

Applications from IANG holders and non-local graduates of Hong Kong universities are welcome, and we sponsor employment visas for the programme.

What you'll do

• Complete three six-month rotations across markets, investments and risk functions.
• Build and maintain analytical models, dashboards and reporting used by the desk you sit on.
• Prepare research summaries, meeting materials and post-trade analysis for senior colleagues.
• Take ownership of at least one improvement project per rotation and present the outcome.
• Complete the licensing curriculum, including HKSI Papers 1, 7 and 8, within the first twelve months.
• Attend the technical academy: valuation, derivatives, market conduct and regulatory foundations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree awarded between 2025 and 2027 in any discipline — we hire historians as well as quants.
• Numerate and comfortable in Excel; evidence of analytical curiosity beyond coursework.
• Strong written and spoken English; Cantonese for the Hong Kong client base.
• Right to work in Hong Kong, or eligibility for IANG or an employment visa we will sponsor.
• Available to start on 6 July 2027.

Nice to have

• Prior internship in financial services, consulting or a startup finance function.
• Python, R or SQL beyond a first course.
• CFA Level I passed or registered.
• Something you have built, run or led outside a lecture theatre.
