Social Commerce Livestream Host

About the role

We built a livestream studio above the Mong Kok office eighteen months ago and it now does about 12% of our weekly revenue. Four shows a week, two hours each, mostly beauty, home and imported snacks, with a co-host, a floor producer and a chat moderator working the comments in real time.

Our current lead host is going on to run the studio, so we need a second on-camera presence who can carry a show. That means holding energy for two hours, demonstrating a product honestly, reading the comment stream while you talk, and knowing when to push a bundle and when to move on because the room has gone quiet.

This is not an influencer role. You are not building a personal brand on our budget — you are selling, on camera, with a target on the wall and a producer in your ear. If that sounds like fun rather than a warning, we would like to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Host four live shopping streams a week, typically 7pm to 9pm, plus festival specials during peak trading
• Prepare each show with the merchandising team: product order, pricing hooks, bundles and the story for each item
• Demonstrate products truthfully on camera, including the limitations — our return rate depends on it
• Read and respond to the live comment stream while presenting, working with the moderator on questions worth answering
• Review each show's GMV, conversion and drop-off curve with the producer and adjust the next one
• Record short-form clips from each stream for repurposing across our social channels

What we're looking for

• 2+ years hosting, presenting, live selling or high-volume face-to-face sales
• Native Cantonese with confident business Mandarin — a meaningful share of our viewers are cross-border
• Comfortable on camera for two hours without losing energy or accuracy
• Available for evening shifts four nights a week, and for festival peaks including Lunar New Year
• Understand that everything you say on air is a product claim we have to stand behind

Nice to have

• Existing experience on a live commerce platform with GMV numbers you can quote
• Beauty or home category knowledge
• Basic editing skills for cutting your own clips
